The Lusaka High Court has stayed the decision in which the speaker of the National assembly declared nine parliamentary seats of Patriotic Front members vacant.
In this matter, the nine MP’s filed an application and supporting affidavit by the lead applicant, Brian Mundubile, on behalf of the others challenging the speaker's decision.
When the matter came for ruling, the court issued an order granting leave for judicial review and staying the implementation of the decision.
