FOUR FIX-ZESCO PROTESTERS DETAINED

FOUR FixZESCO activists have been arrested by Police at ZESCO Headquarters, where they attempted to protest long hours of Load Shedding.

Dramatic scenes have been unfolding outside the power utility firm after the police was deployed this morning to prevent the protest. 

But in recent days the defiant activists have maintained ZESCO has allegedly failed to adhere to to its load management system that has complicated the wellbeing of ordinary citizens. 

Zambia is undergoing one of the worst energy crisis in decades, a situation that has plunged households and businesses into acute power rationing of more than 12 hours in most places.
