Former Employees of Investrust Bank have appealed to the government to pay them their dues following the bank's recent liquidation after it was declared insolvent by the bank of Zambia.
The former employees who spoke to Phoenix News on condition of anonymity for fear of victimization for expressing their frustration and despair at being sidelined in the entire process, have revealed that they were abruptly informed that their June salaries would be their last, with no employment packages.
They explain that they were further instructed to repay their loans, a situation they say has worsened their financial distress.
They say despite various meetings held to address the matter, there has been no progress made.
The former Investrust employees are now urging the government to intervene and ensure they receive the dues owed to them.
