ZAMBIANS TOLD TO CHERISH UNITY




Former Special Advisor to First President KENNETH KAUNDA, MARK CHONA has called on Zambians to always cherish the unity that has existed in the country for years.

Mr CHONA says the forefathers worked hard to maintain the peace and unity Zambians are enjoying.
He says political opponents must avoid engaging in fights that could breach the peace but should complement each other by providing positive criticism.
Mr CHONA was speaking today after celebrating his 90th Birthday at his home.
Meanwhile, Veteran Politician, VERNON MWAANGA has urged opposition party leaders to help the government promote peace and not cause division in the country.
Dr. MWAANGA said the government and the opposition must engage each other in order to discuss issues affecting the nation.
Overseer of Calvary life Bible Church in Mansa, Bishop MAXWELL LUCHILE says all Zambians must heed President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA's call for unity.
Bishop LUCHILE says this is in a bid to preserve the county's peace and unity.
In An interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka, Bishop LUCHILE is happy with President HICHILEMA's stance against tribalism adding that if left unchecked tribal talk can divide the country.
And Kasama Victory Ministers Bishop CHRISTOPHER MWANGO has called on the church to play an active role in preaching unity in the country.
