42 MEGAWATTS LOST AT THE ZESCO VICTORIA FALLS POWER STATION DUE TO GENERATOR TRIPPING

 

ZESCO Limited has lost 42 megawatts of electricity at its Victoria Falls power station due to machine tripping that occurred yesterday, Saturday, 22 June 2024, at 22:39 hours.

This generator outage has further reduced ZESCO’s power generation, leading to extended power rationing timings.

In a statement issued by the ZESCO Corporate Affairs department, the power utility says it is doing everything possible to bring back Victoria Falls power station into full operation and stabilize power supply at the earliest time possible.
