President Hakainde Hichilema has strongly warned that there will be consequences for non-delivery by all top government officials.
Officiating at a meeting of Permanent Secretaries, Controlling Officers and other senior government officials in Lusaka today, President Hichilema said it is time all public officers aligned themselves with government's agenda of delivering tangible benefits for the people.
The head of state warned against any actions that might hinder progress and compromise the fulfillment of government promises made to citizens.
President Hichilema is also dissatisfied with practices that lead to the misuse of public funds such as unnecessary travels by public service workers without measurable and positive outcomes for the country.
Meanwhile, President Hichilema has called for enhanced coordination in government to ensure accountability and effectiveness in service delivery.
