The Zambia Police service is issuing a warning to all patrons and owners/managers of drinking establishments. We have recently observed an emerging trend of individuals entering such establishments while armed and, in some instances, discharging firearms.

This reckless and dangerous behavior poses a significant threat to public safety, and it is imperative that immediate steps be taken to address this issue. The discharge of firearms in crowded and confined spaces puts innocent lives at risk and jeopardizes the well-being of everyone present.

The Zambia Police Service is committed to ensuring the safety of our community members. We strongly advise all patrons to refrain from carrying firearms into drinking establishments.

Additionally, we urge establishment owners and managers to implement stringent security measures to prevent individuals from bringing weapons onto their premises.

To enhance safety within your establishment, we recommend the following measures:

1. Collaborate with local law enforcement to conduct regular security assessments.

2. Implement thorough security screenings for all patrons entering the establishment.

3. Install surveillance cameras in key areas to monitor activities inside and outside the establishment.

4. Display visible signage indicating a strict no-firearms policy within the premises.

We are working diligently to address this issue, and we request the cooperation of both patrons and establishment owners in ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment for all. Those found in violation of firearm regulations will be subject to legal consequences.

If you have any information regarding individuals involved in such activities or need assistance in implementing security measures, please contact your nearest police station. Together, we can create a safer community for everyone.
