PRESIDENT HICHILEMA URGES DIPLOMATS TO HELP IN RESOLVING REGIONAL CONFLICTS

President Hakainde Hichilema has urged diplomats to be in the forefront in resolving regional conflicts which he says are unfortunately on the rise.


Speaking when he received letters of credence from Cuba’s Ambassador Designate to Zambia Mariledis Marales, High Commissioner-Designate of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Lindiwe Kunene and  Saudi Arabia Ambassador Designate to Zambia Ali Saad Akhatani, President Hichilema said diplomats are key in ensuring that peace prevails in all parts of the world.


The Head of State has also paid tribute to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the role it is playing in resolving the conflict in Sudan, saying it is his desire that all parts of the world should experience peace.


The President has also said Zambia wants relations with Cuba in the area of medicine where Cuban experts come to work in Zambia to continue.


He further disclosed that King Mswati of Eswatini will soon visit Zambia as the two countries seek to enhance their bilateral relations and corporation.
