Fresher Siwale found guilty of claiming that former President Edgar Lungu is Jonathan Mutawale

 

THE Lusaka Magistrate Court has convicted New Labour Party leader Fresher Siwale’s for defaming former President Edgar Lungu.

But Magistrate Alice Walusiku discharged the convict absolutely since the defamation law was repealed and is nolonger a criminal offence.

But the magistrate earlier rebuked Mr Siwale for publishing unverified and defamatory sentiments against a public officer.
