The UPND has warned all its members not to use the name of the party in reporting cases to the police without consulting the hierarchy at the party headquarters.
UPND Spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA says anyone that will be found doing so risks facing disciplinary action by the disciplinary committee of the party.
Mr. MWEETWA says the ruling party does not subscribe to the habit of transporting alleged suspects to places far from where the crimes where allegedly committed for further investigations.
Mr. MWEETWA, who is also Southern Province Minister says gone are the days when being a member of a party in Government gave one the powers to abuse authority and issue directives and ultimatums to the police.
